Digital Skills for University Staff

Computer Science Department of Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts held Digital Week (KNUCA AllDigitalWeek) in support of the AllDigitalWeek pan-European initiative under the Erasmus + dComFra project “Digital Competence Framework for Ukrainian Teachers and Other Citizens”.
During the Digital Week the training “Digital Skills for University Staff” was held. This training for the staff of the departments and deanship was devoted to the use of digital technologies in the activities of the structural subdivisions of the university. Marina Tolmach – the teacher of the department of computer sciences in KNUCA – was the initiator and the trainer. On March 29, employees of the Faculty of Information Policy and Cybersecurity, the Faculty of Event Management, Fashion Show and Show Business were invited to the event. At the beginning of the training, a survey on the degree of use of information technology in solving work tasks was conducted and a small quiz on knowledge of spreadsheets was held. The interaction was organized with the help of a modern tool for creating quizzes and polls Kahoot!, which added some training elements to the game, as well as excitement and good mood. The winner was awarded with a sweet prize and the title “Queen of Excel”. Marina Tolmach spoke about AllDigitalWeek’s mission, the importance of digital skills and the need for continuous improvement. During the training, the focus was on data processing using spreadsheets and collaborative tools. All of these issues were illustrated by real examples of solving various tasks with the help of IT that the Department of Computer Science has been working on for many years (processing of professional reference databases, joint editing of important documents, use of online schedules for students, etc.). Ihor Grebennik, Head of the Department of System Engineering at the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics, also spoke on the experience of introducing information technologies at his university. As a result of the training, all participants received certificates. Taking into consideration the interest and activity of the participants, it was decided to continue holding such thematic events

Кафедра комп’ютерних наук Київського національного університету культури і мистецтв провела Цифровий тиждень (KNUCA AllDigitalWeek) на підтримку загальноєвропейської ініціативи AllDigitalWeek в рамках проекту Erasmus+ dComFra «Digital competence framework for Ukrainian teachers and other citizens»
У рамках Цифрого тижня відбувся тренінг “Digital Skills for University Staff”, тренінг для співробітників кафедр та деканатів, присвячений застосуванню цифрових технологій у діяльності структурних підрозділів університету
Ініціатором та тренером стала викладач кафедри комп’ютерних наук КНУКіМ Марина Толмач.

29 березня на захід було запрошено співробітників Факультету інформаційної політики та кібербезпеки, Факультету івент-менеджменту, фешн та шоу-бізнесу. На початку тренінгу було проведено опитування щодо ступеня використання інформаційних технологій при вирішенні робочих завдань та невелика вікторина на знання електронних таблиць. Взаємодія була організована з допомогою сучасного засобу створення вікторин та опитувань Kahoot!, який додав тренінгу елементів гри – азарту та гарного настрою. Переможниця була нагороджена солодким призом і званням «Королева Excel».

Марина Толмач розповіла про задачі AllDigitalWeek, про важливість володіння цифровими навичками та необхідність постійного вдосконалення. Протягом тренінгу зосередились на обробці даних з допомогою електронних таблиць, використанні інструментів спільної роботи. Усі ці питання були ілюстровані реальними прикладами вирішення різних завдань з допомогою ІТ, які застосовує кафедра комп’ютерних наук у своїй діяльності вже багато років (обробка профорієнтаційних баз, спільне редагування важливих документів, використання онлайн-розкладу для студентів та інше). Також до тренінгу приєднався Ігор Гребеннік, завідувач кафедри системотехніки Харківського національного університету радіоелектроніки, який розповів про досвід впровадження інформаційних технологій в своєму університеті.

За результатами тренінгу всі учасники отримали сертифікати. Враховуючи зацікавленість та активність учасників, було вирішено і надалі проводити подібні тематичні заходи.
